Daihachi Chemical Industry began by developing acetic acid esters from the end of the Taisho Era to the early Showa Era, and domestically produced phthalic acid ester plasticizers and phosphoric acid ester plasticizers for coating materials of electric wires in 1935 for the first time in Japan. Ever since, the company has developed various plasticizers and led the market as a pioneer of plasticizers. We have also developed flame retardants for engineering plastics and polyurethane foam based on ester technology, and now boast world-class production capacity and sales volume for phosphorous flame retardant. Other characteristic products we develop include metal extractants and resin modifiers.
